WS02-10 TackyWATER SOLUBLE TACKY FLUX
Amerway Inc manufactures quality fluxes. Our business is Solving problems. S u p e _ Passes IPC Tests _ Superior wetting characteristics, lot-to-lot consistency, and stable viscosity _ No slump _ Halide-free, halogen-free _ Long tack time _ Residues are completely Water-Soluble. Post-solder residues can be maintained if delayed cleaning is necessary up to 168 hours with no adverse effects on SIR Values. DESCRIPTIONWS02-10 Tacky Flux is a Water-Soluble formulation for electronics applications requiring high-reliability, stability, and cleanliness. Flux formulation contains no ionic materials and is suitable for clean-room applications. APPLICATIONSWS02-10 Tacky Flux is formulated for BGA rework and repair, or specialty processes where a conventional flux does not provide sufficient activity and/or requires post-solder cleaning. Flux can be placed on surface area by printing, dispensing, or manually applying the flux. When cleaning all residues, a water temperature of 60°C/140°F is recommended for optimum results. DO NOT use isopropyl alcohol to clean post-solder residues. Residues are water-soluble. Isopropyl and other solvents will prolong the cleaning process and should not be used for residue removal or tacky flux cleaning. SPECIFICATIONSWS02-10 Tacky Flux is classified as an IPC ANSI-J-STD-006 Type ORL0. The formulation is halide-free and all post-solder residues are water-soluble.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONSWS02-10 Tacky Flux is a product formulated for use in assembly processes that require safety precautions be taken. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. When using, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Wear gloves and eye protection. Most alloys contain lead; wash hands if hands are exposed to the product. Observe industrial hygiene and safety practices to assure conformance with local, state, and federal safety health and environmental regulations. Adequate ventilation should be provided when soldering. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for additional information. STORAGEThe following conditions are recommended to achieve long-term stability and the assurance of consistent Tacky Flux: Store flux at room temperature of 18-25°C/64-77°F. Tacky Flux is certified for one (1) year when stored at room temperature.
