Amerway No Clean Core Wire Technical Data Bulletin
Technical Bulletin
| Purpose: |
| NCCW was developed as a RMA type flux to meet the requirements of the
electronics industry by eliminating the need for any cleaning procedures after soldering. This
benefit means that there are no extra cost for an Aqueous Wash System or Chlorinated chemicals. |
| Advantages: |
| |
1. Elimination of Inert Plasticizers. |
| |
2. Elimination of aqueous cleaning equipment. |
| |
3. Elimination of rosin saponifiers. |
| |
4. Elimination of environmentally hazardous chlorofluorocarbons. |
| |
5. Activity comparable to highly activated RMA with no clean characteristics. |
| |
6. No halide content. |
| |
7. No ionics. |
| |
8. Low spattering. |
| |
9. Excellent wetting. |
| |
10. No offensive odor. |
| |
11. Available in various diameters. |
| Alloy: |
| This core wire is manufactured from grade A virgin metals and is available in many
alloys including those conforming to QQ-S-571 and ASTM B32. The most common electronic
alloys are 63/37 and 60/40. |
| Flux: |
| We utilize the purest grade of water white gum rosin available along with activators which
provide the fastest wetting actions possible. The strength of the flux activity is defined as RMA rosin
activated. Flux core sizes are available in a weight of 1, 2, and 3 percent. |
