SAC Family Alloys Amerway provides are SAC 305 and SAC 405.  Copper is the limiting factor.  The wave machine is originally filled with the copper containing alloy.  As the boards are soldered the alloy must be monitored.  As the copper level increases additional alloy of the following is added to lower the copper level.  The thinning alloy is usually SN 97 AG 3.  Maximum lead content for the alloy is 0.2 %.  The max pb levels ( .2 % for potable water systems and .1 for ROHS compliant electronic products).  Please contact a Amerway sales representative at (814) 944-0200.
